Promoting quality music in Knoxville … by any means necessary.
This may be the most ambitious portion of the site. In ‘The Biz’ we are hoping to provide resources for musicians – tips on the business side of the industry; contact information for publishing, recording and other aspects of the music business; pearls of wisdom from local musicians who have turned their music into successful careers; information on grants and ‘free money’ that may be available; etc, etc … you get the idea. However, none of us here at knoxmusictoday.com are musicians. We can’t play any instruments and you really don’t want to hear us sing (although we think we’re quite good!). We are fans though and we want to help local musicians succeed … by any means necessary. So help us develop this page and maybe, just maybe, someone in the area will succeed. That’s what it’s all about.
Send in any material you think would be helpful to aspiring musicians in the Knoxville area – contact information, tips, advice, stories, etc. If we think it will be helpful, we’ll post it. Send your submissions to kmtsubmit@knoxmusictoday.com
